Rowhedge Allotment Association
Introduction
In December 2009, a group of a twenty or so people met at The Albion to discuss ways of obtaining allotments for Rowhedge.Meetings continued regularly and over time we completed many tasks towards our aim.
- We negotiated with the Parish Council in obtaining land and finalising a lease for that land,
- We formed the Rowhedge Allotment Association, affiliated with the National Allotment Association.
- We have submitted grant applications so that the site could be made suitable for allotment gardening.
- During our first year, the number of people expressing an interest steadily increased.
We are a group of volunteers, work is ongoing and is entirely dependent on the goodwill and talent of all those wonderful people who have donated their time and expertise.

Our Purpose (Mission)
- To establish the allotments with a recognised governing association for people who live in Rowhedge.
- To make sure that the allotments keep running smoothly.
- To enjoy allotment gardening!
